This past January 22nd marked the 2nd Anniversary of the physical passing of Thich Nhat Hahn. The Vietnamese Zen master was the driving force behind the immerison of the West into a path of mindfulness. His eloquent writings on the Buddha, the Christ and living with peace in our daily lives continues to revolutionize my life.
There have been world wide tributes from the Buddhist community for him this past week. I wanted to offer the article I wrote about him that was published in TRICYCLE: The Buddhist Review shortly after his transition. I wrote the article while on retreat at Magnolia Grove Monastery in Batesville, in 2022. His impact and energy will continue forever.
“I am not in here.I am not out there either. I may be found in your way of breathing and walking. This body of mine will disintegrate, but my actions will continue me."
~ Thich Nhat Hanh
